Aviator jackets were originally designed to keep World War I pilots warm in breezy cockpits, but by 1927 they had evolved into the classic we know and love. Ribbed knit collar, waistband and cuffs added windproofness and insulation. These details also form the flattering outline found in the new REV'IT! Travon. The Travon is the lightest jacket originally designed for touring and adventure riding. In a sense, it's a crossover, which you wouldn't necessarily recognize from its authentic aviator cut. We didn't want technical innovations to detract from the aesthetics: Front and underarm vents, certified SEESMART protectors on shoulders and elbows, and a pocket for a SEESOFT back protector type zip do not interfere in the least with the iconic design of this jacket. This reissue of a classic starts with a sensational design that's guaranteed to make you look good, whether you're on a motorcycle or on foot. But it's while you're riding that you'll really appreciate the benefits of this jacket: The single-layer stretch lining adapts to your movements and the tabs on the collar and waist bring customization to the fit. Plus, a double jeans loop makes it easy to attach the jacket to a pair of pants.
